Chasing a bird dog sometimes has its advantages. For instance, my little springer spaniel doesn’t allow me to archery hunt simply because it takes her away from the ruffed grouse, woodcock, pheasants and ducks she loves to chase. I’ve followed a bird dog for a whole lot of years and my Bear Polar re-curve bow, along with its cedar arrows, hang from a peg in the upper shed.
