THE ban by the Sultan of Johor on wildlife hunting is very welcome but it will be futile if their habitats are not protected. Sultan Ibrahim Ismail decreed on March 4 that the ban was necessary to protect tigers, elephants, bears, deer, mousedeer, tapir and porcupines.
